Dr. Kairam has spent more than 30 years in the practice of Developmental Neurology, with particular interest in prenatal and perinatal brain disorders. His additional areas of interest and expertise include Autism, Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder, Learning Disabilities, Headache and Migraine, and Shaken Baby Syndrome.
Dr. Kairam's early research was in the areas of improving the accuracy of neonatal neurosonologic diagnosis, inter-observer reliability of pediatric neurological examination, and neurologic outcome of congenital HIV infection. More recently, Dr. Kairam's research has focused on the natural history and co-morbidities of Autism.
