Sergievsky Center - cpmcnet.columbia.edu/dept/sergievsky » Recent Publications Dr. Small received his B.A. in psychology from New York University in 1986, graduating from the honors program summa cum laud, receiving the University Award for distinguished honors thesis and the President's Award for academic excellence. He received his M.D. from Columbia University in 1992. He completed his medical internship at UCLA and a neurology residency at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. In 1996, he was selected as Chief Resident of the Department Neurology. Upon completing a fellowship in Neurobehavior in 1998, he stayed at Columbia University as faculty.
